Infant and Toddler Care
TLC recognizes the hectic schedules of modern families, and offers the same high-quality early education atmosphere of our preschool classrooms for the littlest of learners in our infant nursery and toddler classrooms.
Childcare at TLC serves children as young as eight weeks old up to 2 1/2 years old, when children can transition into our preschool program, if they are ready.
In our infants and toddlers program, expect small class sizes and low child to teacher ratios. This structure helps build strong relationships and ensures individual attention for each child. The exceptionally experienced staff at TLC brings their strong knowledge of child development to support infants and toddlers in their physical, emotional, social, and linguistic growth.
Overview
Ages served in the infant program: Eight weeks to approximately 12 months.
Ages served in the toddler program: Approximately 12 months to 2 1/2 years.
Hours: Infant and toddler program hours are 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. We ask that no child be on campus longer than nine hours per day.
Months: All TLC classrooms are open year-round. Semesters run August to December, January to May, and May to August. We loosely follow the St. Vrain Valley School District schedule from August to June regarding holidays and breaks.
Infant nursery capacity: 10 children
Teachers in the infant nursery: Two highly-qualified infant teachers with additional staff, as needed.
Toddler classroom capacity: ]TLC currently has three toddler classrooms with 8-9 children in each.
Teachers in the toddler classroom: When at capacity, each classroom has two highly-qualified early childhood teachers per classroom, with additional support staff as needed.
Academic curriculum used: TLC uses the Creative Curriculum, Storybook Journey, Learning Without Tears, Zoophonics, and a variety of hands-on STEM activities.
Social-emotional curriculum used: All TLC staff are trained in the Pyramid Plus approach, which are evidence-based practices that support inclusion and healthy social-emotional development, while also fostering strategies to mitigate challenging behaviors in children.
TLC has one all-staff training day per month. On this day, all classrooms will open at 10AM.

Enrollment for all TLC education programs begins with a tour. On the tour you can meet our teachers and view the infant nursery and toddler classrooms. Tours are held on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month and are limited to four families per tour. All tours are led by our Educational Services Manager and our Therapeutic Services Manager.
